This engagement began before the first ton of ore was processed.
We were brought in during the initial commissioning phase of a large-scale greenfield
lithium operation in West Africa. The client’s engineering team was still finalizing
mill configuration parameters. They needed a supplier who could work through specification
development collaboratively — not one who would show up with a catalogue.
The core challenge was not the product. It was the sequence of problems that had to be
solved simultaneously: a custom specification that didn’t exist yet, a remote site with
complex logistics, a commissioning timeline with no margin for supply gaps, and a
globally-listed operator with full ESG and supply chain governance requirements.
We solved them in order.
First, the specification. Multiple rounds of technical consultation with the on-site
metallurgical team and central procurement committee. Ore hardness profile, mill dimensions,
rotation speed, target throughput — we worked through every variable before committing
to a grade. The result was a custom chrome and diameter specification that no standard
catalogue could have provided.
Second, the logistics. The West Africa corridor is unforgiving. We built a buffer stock
architecture at origin — months of forward inventory pre-allocated to this client — to
decouple production lead time from transport variability. We pre-planned two contingency
routes before the first shipment left. When disruptions occurred, we activated them.
The client never saw a gap.
Third, the commissioning. We provided direct technical coordination through the initial
charge loading and early operational period. When the first performance data came back
from site, we reviewed it and made specification refinements. The adjusted specification
was locked in and remained unchanged for the remaining three years of the agreement.
1,000+ consecutive days. Zero supply interruptions.
What this case proves is not that we can supply grinding media. It is that we can build
and manage a complete supply system — from specification development through remote
logistics to ongoing technical support — for the most demanding projects in the most
challenging environments.

quality documentation available to qualified prospects upon request.
